We all should exercise to be fit, Not skinny. We should EAT to nourish our bodies, and always.. always Ignore all the h8rs, those that doubt that you can do it, all the unhealthy examples that you were once attracted to. WE are so worth more than we realize!

It will Hurt! No One said working out and getting in shape was easy. It will take Time.. Rome was not built in a day… Don’t expect Miracles over night, however you will begin to feel the benefits of your hard work after 1 class. It will require Discipline, which means doing what needs to be done, even when you don’t want to. There are no excuses! No one is going to fix your body, you have to do it! Success Trains!!! Failure complains. There is No Complaining on the way to transforming your body!

You must get yourself on a schedule and know that you want to take X amount of classes a week in order to achieve your goal. You will need to push your body to its max. There will always be temptation! Keeping this momentum going will require willpower, you will need to make healthy decisions.

But, I promise you, when you reach your goal, it’s SOO WORTH IT!

Usually I write this blog from my personal standpoint about fitness, kickboxing, creating your own motivation to see the results that you want and need. Today, I am very happy to write about a fellow CKO’er! If you haven’t heard about Doug Lindstedt you should look in to him!

Let’s start at the beginning, 6 months ago Doug was face to face with his doctor consulting about weight loss surgery. He knew he needed to lose some weight but wasn’t aware of exactly how much in order to become healthy. Doug was soo close to resulting in Gastric Bypass surgery when he found out he had lost too much weight “not trying” and slipped below the weight limit that his medical insurance would cover for having this surgery. Doug then figured, If he had lost weight without really trying, what would happen if he did… try. Then he joined CKO 24 hour fitness!

Let me tell you.. if anyone deserves a freakin metal it’s DOUG! I’ve been kickboxing at CKO for 3 years. I’m dedicated, I train, HARD… I met Doug just a few short weeks ago and he has the energy and determination like None other! He is what CKO is all about! Currently, Dough has lost 107 pounds!!! What an accomplishment!

If you don’t know Doug Lindstedt, you should! He is a fabulous inspiration for all of us!

There are no excuses | High impact kickboxing | Burn Fat and Build Muscle

Every food choice we make, moves us closer to, or further away from our own personal weight loss goals. Excuses are useless! Results are priceless! The human body is made up of over 75% water, and we all know we cannot live without water. Your own personal need for water can vary greatly due to exercise, weight & temperature.

Any time you take kickboxing classes at CKO, you need more water due to the amount of perspiration. For each pound lost due to all our hard work and exercise, you need to drink at least 2 cups of water. We should all make it a habit to drink lots of water daily.

Fad diets can change your weight, working out HARD at CKO KICKBOXING can and WILL change your body!

CHALLENGE… yourself

As I’m sure you have all heard CKO is doing an Inter-Gym challenge for its members. IF you haven’t signed up for this challenge, why not do your own personal challenge and see where you find yourself at the end of 10 weeks or 6 weeks even.

Exercising boils down to Motivation. You have to be motivated in order to see any results from your work out. Track your diet, cut out some foods out of your diet that you haven’t wanted to part with until now. Push yourself that much farther and you will see the Lb’s wittle away in time for Memorial Day!

Stay Focused! Stay Determined! Mind over matter! Getting fit and healthy is lifestyle choice, not an easy fix. You must commit to changing your way of thinking about food, and watch yourself tone up, get lean and Strong!
